I didn't cry at ANY episode in the entire series unless it was an episode about Rumpelstiltskin's background.
I cried on the episode about his son, and the one where Belle shows up for the first time.
Everything he's EVER done was to protect the ones he loved. He just did it wrong, and they ended up hating him. Then Belle came along and loved him. After everyone else turning to hate him he figured that she'd end up doing the same anyways, so he put her out. God I cried.
So Rumpelstiltskin and Mr. Gold are my favorite characters.
